Maxwell has combined Humphrey School courses with others from across the University for a self-defined concentration in community economic development. He is minoring in landscape architecture from the University's College of Design to learn placemaking skills, site analysis, and planning review—all valuable skills for a planner. Robert began his career as an intern at TVS Design in Atlanta before working for firms in Princeton, N.J., and Atlanta. Robbie earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala.

He is a registered architect in Connecticut, Georgia, Florida and Virginia, and received his Master of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture. Bulent is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), National Trust for Historic Preservation and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
